Justification for Change
On behalf of the Bureau of Medical Services, Office of Medical Clearances, we are requesting the removal of the following item on Form DS-3057, Medical Clearance Update:
VI. IF EXAMINEE IS PREGNANT, please contact MEDForeignPrograms@state.gov.
Justification: Pregnancy is not a clearance limiting condition and therefore is not relevant in the medical clearance process. A pregnant person can reach out to our OB medevac resources or our health units if they have questions on pregnancy overseas and our Care Managers can direct and counsel them, but this question on the DS-3057 is superfluous and unnecessary.
