My name is [insert name], and I work on the Survey Development Team at the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA). EIA is considering changes to Form EIA-176, “Annual Report of Natural Gas and Supplemental Gas Supply & Disposition” and would like to receive your input on how the changes may impact your reporting. Specifically, EIA is interested in learning if respondents are able to provide more detailed information about aboveground LNG storage facilities used by their company. Additionally, EIA is interested in respondents’ ability to report Vaporization/Liquefaction/LNG Fuel as a separate category of natural gas consumed by end use consumers.
The interview will take approximately 1 hour. Participation in this research is voluntary and your responses will be kept confidential. The attached letter explains this research project in more detail. Your input is important to us and will help EIA provide more relevant and useful information to the public on natural gas supply and disposition.
