CMS requires that applicant attest that it doesn't have any covered persons that were part of a CMS contract after June 6th, 2011 that non-renewed or terminated. While we have access to organizations we have non-renewed/terminated, we don't have that same information for other plans.
We request that CMS provide a list of contracts that fit the description of these conditions. |
Not Applicable (no application change requested) - We appreciate the commenter's concerns and will consider whether to post a list of organizations that have non renewed or terminated contracts with CMS in the 38 months prior to the contract year. However, applicants are and will remain responsibile for identifying whether their covered persons have been covered persons for nonrenewed or terminated organizations. Given the limited number of people who qualify as covered persons - owners with more than 5% ownership interest in the applicant and memerbs of the company's board of directors or trustees - it should not be unduly burdensome for organizations to verify this information. |
