The objective of the PPA evaluation is
to test selected promising approaches to prevent teen pregnancy
among middle school- and high school-aged teens. The evaluation
will help OAH and ACF determine the effectiveness of various
approaches in affecting key outcomes related to pregnancy
prevention (for example, sexual debut, pregnancy, and sexually
transmitted disease [STD] infection). Ultimately, the purpose of
the evaluation is to provide stakeholders--including practitioners
and federal and other policymakers--with information on approaches
that hold promise for preventing teen pregnancy, and the
effectiveness of these approaches.
