Donor Report: September 2009 HIV Rapid Testing MPEP Shipment

Purpose

The purpose of this communication is to provide information regarding the September 2009 HIV Rapid Testing Model Performance Evaluation Program (HIV-RT MPEP) shipment, specifically: donor identification, and CDC testing results for the six HIV-RT MPEP performance evaluation (PE) samples. Two duplicate samples were included in this shipment. These are designated by an asterisk on the included table. The samples were sent on September 22, 2009. Please note: you do NOT need to reply to this email! It is for your use only!

Table 1 contains the following information about the HIV-RT MPEP September 2009 sample panel:

panel letter codes vial label codes donor numbers

CDC test results donors’ HIV status a section for laboratory interpretations

Action

Please circulate this report to all personnel who: receive HIV-RT MPEP rapid testing samples, perform HIV rapid testing on MPEP samples, and/or review results of HIV rapid tests on the MPEP samples.
