SUBJECT: Request for Approval to Add Grant/Cooperative Agreement to

OMB Docket #0584-0512

The Uniform Grant Application for Non-Entitlement Discretionary Grants, OMB Number 0584-0512 allows the Food and Nutrition Service to add programs to the list of approved programs that use this generic clearance process periodically, provided that approval is obtained in advance.

The Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) is requesting OMB approval to add the Summer Electronic Benefits Transfer for Children: Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women Infants and Children Model and the Summer Electronic Benefits Transfer for Children: Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Model to the list of approved projects. FNS intends to award funding to State agencies to demonstrate the provision of household-based summer food benefits using Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women Infants and Children (WIC) electronic benefit transfer (EBT) technology and Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) electronic benefit transfer (EBT) technology as the delivery mechanisms. We are requesting to use 2,625 hours of the currently approved 31,340 hours for States to respond to the Request for Applications to operate these demonstrations.
