This randomized control trial study
will examine the effectiveness of Success in Sight (SiS) in 52
elementary schools with low to moderate student achievement. This
study will specifically examine the impact of SiS on student
achievement and on school practices associated with school
improvement. The primary data collection will include a teacher
survey assessing school improvement practices (data-based
decision-making, practices associated with improved student
achievement, shared leadership, and purposeful community) and
student achievement data. Data collection will occur over a
two-year period. Hierarchical Linear Modeling (HLM) will be used to
determine the effects of SiS on school-level student achievement
and school-level reform practices.
The teacher survey is being
increased by 9 questions which increases the burden by 10 minutes.
The increase to the teacher survey burden is 182 burden hours. The
182 burden hour increase brings the total burden hours to 13,086
for the collection.
