which have been agreed to by ED: o Approval is granted through
December 1992, in light of the pending reauthorization of the
Higher Education Act. Sholuld the HEA statute create changes in the
collection requirements of the Byrd program performance report,
this approval is granted only through December 199 ED should submit
a revised package thereafter. o In its HEA reauthorization
proposal, and in any regulatory revisio affecting the Byrd program,
ED should include any appropriate means of collecting information
through the performance report that describes t types of students
receiving these awards, and the short- and long-term academic
outcomes of these recipients. o ED should cite OMB number 1850-0598
at the end of the regulation describing the contents of this report
(34 CFR 654.50), as soon as possible.
